Captiva is one of Southwest Florida's most beautiful and remote island communities. Between Captiva Beach, South Seas Island Resort, and Jensen's boat docks, your skin sees constant sun and salt. Our studio in Fort Myers is about 40 minutes via Sanibel and the causeway, and worth combining with any mainland errand run. Professional waxing from $15.
Living on Captiva means daily exposure to the Gulf, salt air, and Southwest Florida sun. Freshly waxed skin reacts differently in that environment than skin in a climate-controlled suburb. The wrong wax formula causes breakouts. Sun right after a wax causes hyperpigmentation. These are not rare complications; they are predictable outcomes when the technique is wrong.
We use low-temperature hard wax for sensitive and sun-exposed skin types, finish every appointment with a calming post-wax serum, and give every client clear aftercare guidance specific to outdoor lifestyles. The goal is smooth skin that holds up, not results you have to babysit.
From Captiva, drive south on Captiva Road through Sanibel, cross the causeway, then north on US-41 to 19451 S Tamiami Trail, Suite 11. About 40 minutes total. Book online before you leave so the slot is confirmed when you cross the bridge.
Free consultations available for first-time clients. Sensitive skin formulas on request. We confirm pricing before we start, every time.
Check Available Times"I was very nervous to be waxed after having had a not-so-pleasant bikini wax at another local salon, but Jayna changed all that for me. She made it so comfortable. Super professional and diligent with a lovely manner."

"Jayna is amazing for waxing, facials, brow wax and tint, lash lift. She listens to what I want and asks questions to make sure I am happy with the outcome."

About 40 minutes. Drive south on Captiva Road through Sanibel, cross the Sanibel Causeway to the mainland, then take US-41 north to 19451 S Tamiami Trail, Suite 11. Free parking right out front. Most Captiva residents combine the trip with grocery runs or other Fort Myers errands.
Before, by at least 24 hours. Freshly waxed skin and salt water do not mix well. Getting waxed, then heading straight to the beach the same day will cause irritation, redness, and potentially ingrown hairs. Book the day before your planned beach day for the best results.
About a quarter inch, roughly the length of a grain of rice. For most people, that is 2 to 3 weeks of growth since shaving. Too short means more discomfort and patchy results.
The first wax is the most intense. After that, follow-up waxes are noticeably easier as the hair grows back finer. Low-temperature wax and small sections keep the experience manageable.
Every 3 to 4 weeks for face. Every 4 to 6 weeks for bikini, legs, and underarm. For seasonal residents at South Seas or other Captiva properties, scheduling before and during the season keeps your cycle consistent.
If you currently use accutane: no, not until you have been off it for at least 6 months. If you use retinol: stop applying it to the wax area 5 to 7 days before your appointment.
For 24 hours: no salt water, no direct sun, no hot showers, no exfoliating, no fragranced products, no tight swimwear on bikini or leg areas. On Captiva, this means planning around beach time and kayaking for that first day.
