Miracle acids of youth

The word “acid” hardly has a good reputation, but the properties that “good acids” posess and the effect that they have on your skin truly can be called miraculous!

Acids are the faithful helpers in daily skin rejuvenation of any type. There are a lot of them, but everyone cares about your skin in a special way: moisturizes, exfoliates, brighteners etc.. To make the best choice, we suggest you get acquainted with the acids your skin needs.

Fruit acids

Fruit acids (also called Alpha-Hydroxy acids or AHA-acids) are different, depending on which plants and natural products they receive. Glycolic acid – from sugar cane, Wine acid – from grapes, Lemon acid – in all citrus, and the names of apple, almond and dairy speak for themselves. But all of them are united by one – the ability to provide a first-class exfoliation. Due to the removal of the upper layer of the epidermis, pigmentation decreases, the pores contract and the depth of wrinkles decrease.

Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid (also called Beta-Hydroxy acids or BHA-acids) is a time-tested exfoliating herbal remedy used for deep cleansing, exfoliating dead cells and cleaning clogged pores (especially suitable for combination, oily and inflammatory skin). In other words, this acid provides a “general cleaning” of your skin. For a dry or sensitive skin type, it is recommended to combine it with moisturizers.

Glycolic acid

Glycolic acid is a part of the alpha hydroxyl family of natural ingridients, glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and is a fruit acid. When applied to the skin, it helps to remove the `glue` that holds the older, rougher and dryer skin on the surface. When it removes that top layer of skin, the fresh, new layer is visible.

Glycolic acid is a faithful helper with the teenage problem of inflammation. This acid has two main actions. First, it erases acne from the skin, black dots and traces of post-acne, and at the same time – pigmentation. If you are familiar with one of the above, then the procedure with glycolic acid at Tatiana Aesthetic Solutions is created for you. Secondly, glycolic acid helps in the production of collagen, thereby increasing the elasticity and elasticity of the skin.

There a few if any side effects to having a glycolic acid peel. Right after the procedure you might feel some burning, but it often goes away quickly. You might have some redness, but again, this usually goes away fairly quickly. If you have sensitive or very fair skin you are more likely to encounter these discomfort. Glycolic acid make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so you should wear a good sun block after having a glycolic acid peel.

Mandelic acid

Mandelic acid (AHA acid) derived from hydrolysis of an extract of bitter almonds. Mandelic acid is more gentle (although it penetrates the skin less). It targets three key concerns: wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation and discoloration, acne.

Prolonged use of mandelic acid is safe for your skin, and will have rejuvenating benefits. If you have experienced irritation with other acid treatments, mandelic acid is the best option for you as the side effects are much lower.

Lactic acid

If you have a particularly delicate and sensitive skin then lactic acid will suit perfect for your skin.

Lactic acid peels help to remove germs, dead cells and toxins from the skin.  It acts just like glycolic, but it makes skin much softer, because it only works on the top layers. In this there is a plus – it does not irritate the skin.

Ferulic acid

This acid is found in dill, parsley and celery. Ferulic acid is best used as an antioxidant. It compensates for the negative effects of stress, pollution and ultraviolet light on the skin. In addition, it helps in the production of collagen.
Kojic acid

Kojic acid suppresses the action of tyrosinase (an enzyme that helps produce melanin, the culprit of dark spots and circles under the eyes). To increase the effectiveness of this acid, choose cosmetics with the addition of other vegetable brighteners. It can be licorice extract, vitamin C or glycolic acid.
